Students for Global Health is an organisation, network and community. In our 20 year history, we have evolved from one passionate individual to a group of thousands of students from all over the United Kingdom, who are all passionate about creating a fair and just world in which equity in health is a reality for all.

At over 30 universities across the country, students meet and engage in global health issues. These local branches are run by branch committees and each of these is run differently and independently to suit their university! The branches then come together at national general assemblies to vote for national committee members, policies, trustees, and governing document changes!

The general assemblies, hosted by different branches, are run by our Agenda Committee.

The elected members of the national committee are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the national organisation and also facilitate branch development and handover, as well as searching for, and organising opportunities for all members.

The national committee is overseen, advised and mentored by the Board of Trustees, who are elected global health professionals that kindly give up their time to help run this organisation of ours.

If you’d like to join Students for Global Health, congratulations, you’re now a member! All students from UK universities are welcome to become a member for no fee! Opportunities (that aren’t part of the IFMSA) are open to all our members and we encourage everyone to take up all opportunities they can.
