Medsin Glasgow is a student society that wants to equip students with the knowledge and skills to make global health a local issue. We do this through 3 ways:

– EDUCATE – We run lectures, talks, debates and film screenings on global health topics – everything from asylum seeker rights to maternal health inequalities, access to medicines and neglected tropical diseases, environmental threats to health, expedition medicine and tropical diseases!

– ADVOCATE – We’re always looking for ways to involve students in advocating for change, and in the past have supported campaigns such as Stop Aids, They Go To Die, and Stop Destitution.

– ACT – Here in Glasgow we support a food bank providing supplies to asylum seekers, and often fund raise at our events for local (and global!) charities.

We work with other societies in Glasgow such as Glasgow Marrow, Student Stop Aids and STAR, as well as Medsin activities like Sexpression and SKIP.

We hosted the amazing Medsin National Conference 2016 and have continued to grow since then. Check out our facebook page for details of our events and feel free to email us at if you have any questions or would like to get involved!
