Who are they?
SfGH are affiliated with two separate HOMED branches, one in Leeds and the other at Brighton & Sussex Medical School (BSMS). Both societies have a common ethos but function independently.

They strive to achieve two main goals; to make a difference to the lives of homeless individuals and to educate students about the issues surrounding homelessness, challenging prejudices and stereotypes.

What do they do?
BSMS HOMED strive to provide support for the homeless community in Brighton through volunteering and fundraising efforts. They aim to educate tomorrows doctors in how to care for this growing strata of society and held their first national conference in 2020.

HOMED Leeds run weekly projects throughout the term, including social activities for the homeless at local hostels and delivering supplies to rough sleepers. They offer training sessions for students who wish to participate.
