Students for Global health UEA branch is excited to present to you our first National Conference on climate change and health titled “Vital Signs: Our Planet, Our Health”.

“A ruined planet cannot sustain human lives in good health. A healthy planet and healthy people are two sides of the same coin.” – Dr. Margaret Chan, Executive Director of the World Health Organization

Climate change is having a rapid and predominantly negative effect on both the social and environmental determinants of health – natural disasters and extreme heat, to changes in patterns of infection and levels of pollution.

At the conference, delegates from all over the country will have the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops, attend interesting talks and much more. We hope this will allow you to more deeply explore the links between climate change and health, whether this is for your own interests or further study, as well as being a chance to network with like-minded people.
