Director of International Affairs: Isaac Florence [LSHTM]

“I am delighted to be stepping into the role of DIA – over the last year I have been heavily involved in the IFMSA and am thrilled to be leading SfGH and the UK’s voice in that arena. I have loved my year as Communications Director and am excited about this new challenge.

There is a lot of work to do for me and the international team: continuing the ever-present battle with funding issues, increasing the availability of opportunities, increasing accountability to SfGH branches, expanding the exchanges programme, create opportunities for UK students abroad and for IFMSA members in the UK. If you’d like to be a part of this work or have any questions, send me an email, I’m looking forward to hearing from you”

I have loved every minute of my time on National Committee over the past year and am very excited to continue the exciting projects that we have started. This year, I’m hoping to focus on opening and operating our brand new merchandise shop (watch this space!) and also to continue streamlining our financial management system. I’m on the lookout for any enthusiastic people within the network who would enjoy working on increasing our sponsorship reach and/or improving our financial organisation with me (no prior experience necessary). Please get in touch if you have any thoughts or ideas, I’d love to hear them.”

Communications Director: Jérémie Juan [University of Aberdeen]

One of the brilliant things about the communications director position is that I’ll be able to find out all about the incredible things that all of you incredible people will be up to and I can’t wait to sing loudly and proudly about it all! So, if you’re ever up to anything exciting and want a hand spreading the word do give me a shout and I’ll do my best to do that in every way I know how!”

The organisation has a range of social media and publication outputs that are maintained by the Communications Director and their team.

Global Health Education Director: Sana Hasan [University of Bristol]

“This year, I’m hoping to start SfGH’s very own podcast! In the current global climate, this could be an opportunity to engage with more people than ever before in an interesting way that would be fact-based, nuanced and balanced. If there is an issue you would like to discuss, get in touch!”
