My role involves developing SfGH’s budget for the term alongside the National Director and Coordinator, securing grants and looking into ways for SfGH to diversify our income.

This role is crucial for SfGH to maintain its financial accountability and responsibility as a UK-registered charity. Also, to ensure our funding is maximised as much as possible to support our members, conferences, and advocacy efforts.

I wanted the role of Finance Director because it gives a good incite into the plans of all the teams within the National Committee. I also wanted to take the opportunity to learn more about how we fulfil our organisational strategy each term.

I am looking most forward to researching and potentially securing funding to support our international advocacy efforts. Including attending IFMSA events and providing SfGH members with travel support to global conferences as delegates.
