Hi I’m Lizzie and I can’t wait to get started as this year’s Public

Relations and Communications Director! I think it wins the prize

for the longest name but essentially means I’m in charge of SfGH’s

social media and spreading the word of SfGH’s fantastic work!

I’ll be working closely with Kurchi to bring exciting and engaging

content to the national SfGH social media and communications

strategy. We have lots of plans for the year ahead, including shout

outs to local branches and SfGH events. If you have anything you

would like shared, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

We’re hoping to continue the great work from last year’s committee to strengthen the SfGH  branding and we’ll be in touch with ways to keep up the SfGH image at a branch level. We’re also really keen to hear from members for anything else you would like to see from SfGH media so please do let us know.

I’m in my third year of medicine at Cardiff and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with SfGH so far – I’m excited to get stuck in this year and see how far we can spread the message of SfGH!

Bylaw mandated responsibilities:

1.4.10.1. Be responsible for the public relations and mass media contacts of Students for Global Health. 

1.4.10.2. Be responsible for maximising communications in and around the network, through publicity, sharing ideas and communicating thoughts. 

1.4.10.3. Manage the flow of information in the network to make sure national and international information is communicated to the local level.

1.4.10.4. Have oversight of the organisations’ social media platforms, managing and posting content. 

1.4.10.5. Be responsible for developing and carrying out the organisations’ communications strategy 

1.4.10.6. Regularly monitor and evaluate the organisations’ communication channels and implement changes to improve our outreach

1.4.10.7. Work with the Digital Media and Publications officer as the National Communications team, both roles ensuring brand guidelines are implemented.
