National membership is your gateway to everything happening beyond your university – across the UK and around the world.
University branches are independently led by students and may have their own local membership arrangements or society fees. These are separate from national SfGH membership.
What your membership makes possible
Students for Global Health is a registered charity and does not operate for profit. Membership income is reinvested into sustaining the network, expanding access and creating more opportunities for students.
Support branches to remain active, sustainable and connected, with access to guidance, resources and national support.
Maintain the systems, coordination and infrastructure needed to bring students, branches and opportunities together nationally.
Pay our membership fee to IFMSA, securing the UK’s place within a global federation active in more than 130 countries.
Help more students participate in national and international conferences, meetings, training and representation opportunities – regardless of their financial circumstances.
Develop national training programmes, educational resources, working groups, campaigns and opportunities for students to influence policy.
Reduce our reliance on short-term grants and create a sustainable organisation that future generations of students can inherit and develop.
Your fee does more than fund your individual membership. It helps build the network, opportunities and collective voice that every member becomes part of.
Like many IFMSA member organisations around the world, we use a membership model to sustain our national work and international participation. We will continue to report transparently on how membership income supports the network.
