APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Interested in doing a medical placement/elective abroad next year?
Interested in enhancing your understanding of global health?
This is your chance!
For the first time ever, Students for Global Health is offering medical students from ANY medical school in the UK a chance to go on a 4-week clinical clerkship to one of the listed countries. Only £350, accommodation, at least 1 meal per weekday and support from local students are included.
You could be one of the 11,000 students all over the world benefiting from the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations) Professional Exchanges Programme every year, which has been running since 1951 and is endorsed by organisations such as WONCA and WFME.
A chance to witness first hand the most prevalent health issues and the delivery of care in another culture, with different healthcare and education systems.
This is a grassroots, student-led effort, supported by medical faculties worldwide, to broaden our horizons by encouraging medical students to develop an understanding of health from a global health perspective and hence mould mind-sets that would enable the creation of a ‘fair and just world in which equity is a reality for all.’
