Although the IFMSA is a collection of medical student organisations (known as National Member Organisations, or NMOs), the UK delegation is open to students of any discipline. IFMSA General-Assembly meetings are a week long and jam-packed with training, discussions, partying and voting on the leaders and direction of the Federation. The IFMSA as a global community has 1.3 million members, but each general assembly meeting has about one and half thousand participants from almost all of the IFMSA’s 135 NMOs. More blogs about peoples’ experience and information about the March Meeting will be posted here soon but for now, have an explore of the invitation package from the host Organising Committee, and email email@example.com if you have any more questions!
In the meantime, check out the application form, think about what your answers might be and follow the event’s Facebook page to get all the latest updates!
Application form Deadline 2359 18th November 2018.
Prices are expected to be between £350 and £450 (depending on delegation size) which includes food and accommodation but does not include transport to and from the venue. There are many ways to gain funding for attending these meetings, including sponsorship from universities, academic societies, your own SfGH branch and many more! Find a selection of examples here.
